Every xete name lives on-chain. Once claimed it can't be taken back — not by us, not by anyone. This board reads the chain live.
A sample of the register, read live. Almost everything is available — the single most temporary fact on this page.
What a name costs. Six letters or more: free — you cover only the small one-time network rent and gas that records it on-chain, usually well under a dollar. That's the network's fee, not ours.
Short names carry a one-time price that rises when several people want short names at once and settles back down when they don't. You always see the exact number before you confirm.
Held means the protocol is holding that name — every name of three letters or fewer, every short number, and a list of names that would be misleading in the wrong hands. They aren't for sale today.
It's yours. A name is a permanent thing you own, like anything else in your wallet. It isn't rented and it doesn't expire. Up to three names per wallet, first come first served. Your name points to your wallet — it's a public handle, not a hidden one.
